Chestnuts care home is a 35 bed converted Victorian Vicarage with an exemplary report from the CQC. The problems associated with LST radiators and their associated covers were well known, in that they robbed valuable living space in the bedrooms, presented a trip or fall hazard to the elderly and often required a deep clean after unfortunate incidents involving disorientated residents. By retrofitting ThermaSkirt on a room by room basis as they became vacant and thus required a make-over in any event, Chestnuts were able to introduce a more comfortable, efficient and easy-to-clean heating system without disrupting occupancy levels.
